Lindsay Kimball

Kimball-1-5-09.jpgLindsay grew up in Doylestown, PA and graduated from Grove City College in May 2008 with a B.A. in English and a minor in religious studies. Her love for Europe began during a semester she spent studying abroad in Florence, Italy. She spent the summer of 2008 interning with World Harvest’s team in Prague, Czech Republic.

Lindsay came to faith as a child, and grew up in a family and a church that sought to nurture and strengthen that faith. She is a member of Covenant Church (PCA) in Doylestown, where many have been faithful to disciple her throughout high school and college. Lindsay now has a love for mentoring, and serves as a youth leader at Covenant. Her time at Grove City developed in her a love for examining how the human heart’s thirst for redemption is found throughout art and literature. Lindsay first felt a call to Europe during her time abroad, as she studied cathedrals and artwork proclaiming God’s glory, but lived among generations who knew little of the hope offered them through Jesus Christ. Her internship in Prague allowed her to see afresh the irresistible beauty of the gospel, opened her eyes to how that gospel goes forth in relationships, and reawakened her sense of call to Europe to share that beauty with others.

This call has led her to Vienna, Austria, to join a team working to plant a church in the city’s center. Lindsay finished support raising and launched to Vienna in October 2009. She spent her first month and a half living with an Austrian family, and in December 2009 moved into her own apartment right near the Hunters and a short tram ride away from the church facility. The Hunters write, “We are so grateful for our friend and teammate Lindsay Kimball, who has been in Vienna for since October. Lindsay has been a great encourager, a natural relationship-builder, and a selfless co-laborer. Pray for Lindsay as she continues to adjust to life in Vienna, for her German studies, and for God to use her to bring students and others to know Him.”
